Dealing With Frustration And Anger

Life is full of frustrations. It stems from minor irritations to major problems. Being able to manage frustration is must in order for us to remain happy and positive even in the midst of challenging circumstances. It occurs when a person is blocked from reaching the desired outcome. We feel irritable and angry when we do not reach our desired goals. The more important the goal is, the greater the frustration and anger or loss of confidence we feel.

We experienced this every time our expectations aren’t met. It occurs whenever our actions are producing less and fewer results than we think they should. It usually involves the disappointment that we get when we cannot have what we want as a result of lack of confidence or fear of social situations.

The physical roadblocks we encounter in life including other people and things that get in the way of our goals cause also our frustrations for just a waste of time. We cannot avoid things that are out of control. We can do something about it, but sometimes there is just nothing we can do about it.

Although the situation is upsetting and frustrating, we do not have to be frustrated. Acceptance is the key to avoid frustration. We can also use our frustrations as a useful motivator to change. However, when it results in anger, irritability, stress, resentment, depression, it can be destructive.

It is always a challenge to keep your anger and frustrations in check. Anger is a normal emotion that needs to be dealt with it in a positive way. Uncontrolled anger can have an adverse effect on your health and your relationships. It can also lead to frustration. Always stay in control because you might regret what you say on impulse because your rational thinking is clouded by that moment.

Once your mind is already clear, express your frustration in an assertive but professional way. State your concerns and needs clearly without offending others or trying to control them. Work on resolving the issues at hand rather than focusing on the details that make you mad. Bear in mind that anger won’t fix anything and might only make it worse.

Even if you had bad experiences in your life but it doesn’t mean that it would always be like that. Don’t lash out your frustration on other people. When it gets out of hand, it can be destructive and can lead to more problems at work, in relationships and in the overall quality of your life.

Anger can be a healthy response if it motivates us to do a positive act but all too often the actions we engage in when angry are destructive because frustration can lead us to act without thinking.

7 Habits That Can Enrich Your Lifestyle

When it comes to habits that can enrich our lifestyle, we often come short of willpower after a time or find out that we have a tough time keeping up with some of them. What most of us do not realize is that the initial source of the problem comes from within us. Yet, with effort, it can be redesigned.

Do you dwell on things? Do you believe you are not good enough, smart enough, or strong enough? If you could just choose one, two or more habits to redesign your lifestyle in the next few months, what would they be? Would they be habits that will have the most impact on your life?

Before anything else, the fact that you must realize is that willpower is more powerful than any I.Q. Your willpower can overtake any thoughts or obstacles you believe are in your way. But to enrich your lifestyle, you have to create habits that allow you acceptance about every part of yourself, which is not always easy.

Since childhood, you hear comments, remarks, laughs and expectations from relatives, acquaintances, peers, colleagues, and people around you, which have often more negative connotation than a constructive meaning.

As a result, you have a low self-esteem which can be at a conscious or unconscious level. But if you could find a way to enrich your lifestyle or life altogether, it would push you to realize that you can do anything you put your mind to doing. You could learn new habits, new skills and live a more satisfying life.

May I remind you that what relatives or anyone else says or think are not the facts, but just opinions formed by others! To begin making a difference and enriching your lifestyle, you need to accept yourself as who you are and that you can be different if required.

7 Habits to Enrich Your Lifestyle
Now let’s go over seven of the most valuable habits to ameliorate and create a more satisfying you.

1. Self-Image to Form a Better You
At first, to enrich your lifestyle, you have to understand and realize that you, as a person, matter. Setting goals are an excellent way to create a better you and develop all areas of your life, which in turn will change your lifestyle tremendously.

You have to understand that setting goals have an enormous impact if you want to enhance your life. They are not an instant cure but a component for upgrading your lifestyle. The next step is that you have to take action and begin to make the changes by learning to appreciate and love yourself.

For that reason, you have to stop your inward criticism. Avoid letting your mind take over, or anyone else criticize you. You are somebody and are worthy. To enrich your lifestyle, prevent the negative self- talk. You have to replace the negative statements with positive ones.

2. Self-Focus to Create Good Habits
To enrich your way of life, you have to focus on one goal, on one task at a time which is much more efficient. You also need to focus on one habit at a time before getting another one in the picture. While it might seem very difficult, focusing on one habit is the best way of creating healthy habits

As soon as you try to create many habits at once, you are scattering your focus and energy all over the place. Choose one habit to focus on first. Break it into a goal you can accomplish in the next three months. Pick an action you can do today and begin. Keep doing this until the habit becomes second nature.

When one habit feels like a complete part of you, focus on the next pattern. As you desire to enrich your lifestyle, some goals of yours may also be external ones. Well, in those cases, turn them into habits. Focus entirely on turning your goal into a habit, until the habit is deep-rooted. Then concentrate on the next one.

3. Self-Value to Enrich Your Lifestyle
In today’s world, we tend to value people by what they have rather than by who they are. So, to enhance your lifestyle, you have to learn to understand that real value is not material things but rather the value you have about yourself.

Do not get me wrong, material things are great but are not the most important. If you lose everything, what is left? You still have YOU! Therefore, remind yourself that you are a unique, worthy, and brilliant person who matters in this world. You are a miracle of life!

You may like it or not; your ultimate reality is created by what you believe, what you think and how you talk about yourself. So, to enrich your lifestyle, you have to value yourself. You are as good as anyone else out there. And yes, it can be rather challenging to accept as true, but it is always possible.

4. Self-Education to Make You A Fortune

“Formal education will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune.” – Jim Rohn

Do whatever it takes to educate yourself. Read more than usual, at least 1 hour a day. Read about everything and anything that floats your boat. All successful people read books. It can be audio, but the best is a book where you can highlight important parts you can use or go back to when needed.

Learn and acquire new skills because the more you learn, the more you earn. Reflect and meditate also on what you have read each day for at least fifteen minutes or more. The reason being is that it has amazing benefits for your health but also for your mental and physical capacities.

5. Self-Trust to Build Self Confidence
When you want to enrich your lifestyle, you have to trust your feelings and your gut instincts. You must rely a lot more on your gut feelings when the need comes to make a decision or take action. Avoid letting others make decisions for you.

Therefore, begin by making decisions for yourself instead of following a map set by others for you to follow. The people who do have trust in themselves are the ones that take charge of their own lives, letting no one intrudes on their choices.

You should believe more in yourself, and the best way to enrich your lifestyle is to spend time with people that have self-confidence. Their positive attitude will rub on you. You could even ask them to mentor you.

6. Self-Resilience to Reach a Better Outcome
You always have a choice between reacting or acting firmly to a situation at hand. When you look at resilient people, you can see that they have a strong emotional mindset that gets them through life’s challenges without falling apart.

Being self-resilient is not being a cold person who has no feelings but rather being very optimistic and real. And it is a powerful habit and asset you can have when you want to enrich your lifestyle.

To be resilient, you have to focus on what you need to do to change the circumstances. Realize that if you desire to enrich your existence, resilience and persistence will help you reach a better outcome.

7. Self-Respect to Enrich Your Way of Living
Regrettably, too many people make choices based on the desires of their relatives, spouse, friends, and even the media. Self-respect comes from make your own decisions and recognizing your worth as a human being.

When it comes to choosing things such as what to learn, what to read, what to study, what job to choose, where to live, when to get married and how many children to have, you should learn to respect what you desire.

Stop being scared of standing up for yourself. Respect and value your desires. Value yourself for all you are worth, and it will grandly enrich your lifestyle.

One More Thing to Enhance Your Existence
Focus on changing the habits you dislike about you because to make an upgrade in your life; you must stick with wanting to do what is necessary and follow through. It is not an overnight change; it takes time to replace harmful habits and stop putting yourself after everyone else.

You have to quit eradicating yourself from the equation. Instead, start to make the changes that you need, because you are looking to enrich your lifestyle and get a more satisfying journey.

Be a True Entrepreneur, Adopting the Right Thought Processes

You will have seen many people on the internet claiming true entrepreneurship. The web definition of an entrepreneur is “someone who organizes a business venture and assumes the risk for it”. By that definition, you could say that anybody who starts a business and takes total responsibility for all parts of the business is an entrepreneur. There are many people who would fit into that definition, but are they true entrepreneurs?

I’m going to break down the basic web definition of an entrepreneur into the several qualifying attributes that make up a true entrepreneur.

1. Leadership – A true entrepreneur is a leader. Someone who can take the reins, assume control, communicate effectively, lead by example, influence, instruct and impress upon others. A leader, in order to protect, will show courage and do the things that their followers would not choose to do. They have patience and the ability to create their own reality. This places the entrepreneur in the alpha leader role. In return for this protection, their followers become more and more loyal.

2. Risk Taking – An entrepreneur will take a risk and face challenges in any business venture they enter into. There are two possible outcomes. Either they succeed in their venture, create profit and therefore increase their value and standing, or they fail, mostly likely absorbing a financial loss. A true entrepreneur will see this failure as a learning opportunity, accept that success and failure are all part of every day, draw on their experiences and approach their next venture better prepared.

3. Intellect – A true entrepreneur is an intelligent person who continues to learn and take on new skills. They will have a process of continual improvement in their learning and have the brains to apply what they have learned. An entrepreneur is able to identify needs, produce and provide solutions for their customers. By doing this, they build relationships with their customers rather than just selling. By building relationships, repoire and trust is attained, which in turn empowers their customers to make the decision to buy when the time is right.

4. Business Passion – A true entrepreneur loves doing business. By loving what they do, entrepreneurs are more productive. They believe in their business and have a passion, an inner drive to succeed. They also believe that the more they put in, the more they get out.

5. Ethics – A true entrepreneur conducts their business in an ethical fashion. Lets be honest, nobody wants to do business with a person who is not straight-up and honest. For an entrepreneur to be successful, they must attract many people and build relationships with them. This is the core of any business, without customers, there is nothing but loss and heartache. For any business to succeed, there must be a great amount of trust built. Once this has been achieved, the entrepreneur will have a loyal following, who will buy what is on offer, usually at any cost.

6. Adaptability – A true entrepreneur must be able to take a step back, look objectively at a given situation and make changes where necessary. This must be done “on-the-fly” with little or no disruption to the business. Too much of a change at the customer’s end and the entrepreneur will find that they will lose customers. There are new technologies and products available every day. A true entrepreneur will keep themselves abreast of these so as to be able to effectively produce and provide solutions for their customers.

If you are doing business, these attributes will be essential to your ongoing success and prosperity. You must develop your skills in the right direction and keep taps on your own progress lest you find yourself going around in circles. Progress, no matter how small is important, no entrepreneur will marinate in their own juices for any period of time.

A true entrepreneur will explore new territories, be open to new opportunities and be in a constant state of re-evaluation.

Entrepreneurship is not for everybody, others may relish the challenge. If you are new to entrepreneurship and find that you are lacking in some of the attributes that I have mentioned in this article, help is available.

Is Starting a Business the Right Move For You?

Dream Big

Dream big, work hard, and stay humble are the best words of advice anyone can give you, and self-belief goes a long way. It’s okay for young entrepreneurs to have big dreams; don’t underestimate what you are capable of. Steve Jobs was only 21 when he co-founded Apple. Don’t let the opinions of others impact your future. Don’t just think you can do it… KNOW you can do it. Believe in yourself and your dreams. Include others and get help from people you trust, people who have achieved what you want to achieve, to fulfill your dreams.

I’m proud to say that many have helped me along my path, and I’ve helped many. Without the help of people more experienced than myself, my latest achievement wouldn’t have been possible. Many others were a part of my newest project, an e-book about photography, and it’s one of my greatest joys to help other dreamers succeed as well. From the business owners and clients I serve, to the talented team I’ve hired and trained, to other entrepreneurs and friends who are business owners.

Work Hard

Working hard is a relative concept; the hours we work, how hard we work, and the magnitude of what we’re trying to achieve are as different as each of us. But “hard work” has a common denominator no matter which way you slice it: how you handle yourself when things go wrong. Because they will. The next best piece of advice anyone can give you is this: be resilient when things get hard. You’ll get rejected, over and over again, but don’t lose faith in your goals. You may fail in the beginning more than you’ll walk the path of success, but if you dream big, work hard, and fight failure, you’ll change history by making it better.

Stay Humble

Another one of my favorite nuggets of wisdom: don’t be a jerk. This world needs fewer loud mouths. Just stay humble. Most successful people don’t take credit for the work they do. Instead, they build up their team or others around them. Ordinary people do change the world; it doesn’t matter where you come from, what school you went to, or how you grew up. Don’t let anyone ever tell you no as you keep moving your dreams forward, but at the same time, keep a humble attitude on your way to the top and remember that you can always learn, grow, improve, and benefit from the knowledge of others.

Passion

While all of this lofty advice sounds great, your passion for what you love to do is a must. Without it, none of this other stuff matters. Writers, athletes and even scientists, famous or not, love what they do because it’s their passion. You have to find yours. Define what you love to do and why you love to do it. Be specific: what do you love about the field you’re pursuing? Is it helping people? Is it being creative? Is it the feeling you get when someone responds a certain way to your work? Is it being part of something larger than yourself?

Being a business owner is not about calculating figures, networking, balancing your finances and profit margins. Many successful business owners associate their business with passion and love, even when they face challenges, work long hours, and experience financial difficulty. Things can get scary and tough: your passion is the only thing that will carry you through the turbulence. It’s important to not just like what you do; you have to LOVE what you do.

Reevaluate Where You Are

If you are stressed at your job 8 hours a day, you may want to rethink what you are doing professionally. When you are stressed doing what you love, it feels more like 15 minutes of your day versus 8 hours. Being fully invested in something that is your passion and not just filling a role makes time feel different, changes your energy, and makes everything about what you do and how you produce better. Find your niche, whether it’s people, a product, or a field. And once you find it, while you’ll most likely love the majority of what you do, there may be aspects of the business you don’t like.

When we turn a passion into a business, especially when we own that business, we have to wear many hats… some of which are less enjoyable than others. For example, finances and accounting aren’t my forte or my passion, but I make sure the stuff I don’t like takes up only 20% of my time so that the stuff I love takes up 80%. If these figures are ever flipped, you’re doing it wrong.

Ambition or Passion?

Don’t mistake ambition for passion. Wanting to advance and striving to get ahead are ambitious qualities. Taking on projects and filling your plate are ambitious. Stepping into unknown territory and taking risks are ambitious. But if ambition isn’t fueled by passion, it will be easy to burn out. Your motivation has to be right if you plan to stay the course. Many business owners seem overly ambitious, but honestly they just love what they do. That passion will make you believe in yourself even more, helping you to pursue things you might otherwise be afraid of or not care to. Of course, you have to be smart about it (sometimes an excess of passion can make people reckless), but If you love what you do, you tend to do a lot. That’s why you’ll be perceived as ambitious.

Finding the One

Finding your passion is a journey in itself. The discovery process is an amazing, transformative experience that you’ll look back on with awe. You may not know right now what your passion is, but keep pushing forward and you’ll find it. Sometimes passion may find you as well, so let yourself be inspired. Tune in to the things that make you tick, make you think, make you feel.

Most people find their passion by just getting out there and trying different things. Eventually something is going to stick and you’ll come up with an idea that you know will work, and you’ll love turning it into a new reality for yourself. Finding your passion is like finding your true love. You’ll go on many dates and, ten dates later, you’ll find “the one.”

Redefining Your Goals

What is your life goal? If it’s “to get rich,” you have the wrong mindset. What do millionaires and billionaires say? When they started out, they loved doing what they did, and the money just happened. You may have to walk away from a secure job and start anew with a lower-paying position or bringing in very little money when you first strike out on your own. But your passion will translate to the faith that carries you through. As long as you maintain a mindset of an inverse ratio of passion to money, you’ll be in good shape.

Personally, my passion for and love of photography has made my business more successful than I ever dreamed. I started at the bottom just like everyone else, but I was lucky to have had the same mindset as other successful business owners. Passion is what drives me to always work hard, focus on my business, push forward, improve, serve, and persevere, because I love what I do. If you have a full-time job and it wouldn’t be wise to quit and start all over right now, then follow your passion on the side until you can get out. You’ll eventually be able to make the jump, and when you do, you’ll appreciate the experience that much more
